Jaguar has announced pricing for the new XJ that will go on sale in Quarter 2, 2010 in Australia. Starting from $193,800 RRP, the new XJ brings a daring new spirit to automotive luxury. Sleek, sporting and sophisticated, it offers a seductive mix of striking design, breathtaking performance and engineering without compromise. Building on the success of the new XK and XF models, the introduction of the all-new XJ is the next stage of the revitalised Jaguar brand.

The XJ benefits from the most advanced, powerful and efficient Jaguar powertrains ever.

Customers in Australia will have the choice of 4 outstanding engines, from one of the most refined diesels in its class, the 3.0 twin turbodiesel, through a choice of 5.0 litre V8 or 5.0 litre 346kW V8 supercharged petrol, to the top of the line 5.0 litre 375kW supercharged supersport V8 petrol. All XJ's feature dynamic technologies including high definition virtual instruments, dual view technology and JaguarDrive. The XJ was officially revealed at a launch at the Saatchi Gallery in London back in July.

In Australia, the interest in the new XJ has been considerable. "Since the worldwide reveal of the XJ in London, we have received an incredible amount of interest from prospects wanting to know more about the vehicle. There is a major buzz around this car, and if things continue in this way, our dealers are going to be very busy when the car arrives in 2010. What is also encouraging is that the XJ is attracting a new group of customers to the Jaguar brand: more than half of those who are contacting us about XJ have never owned a Jaguar before." commented Chris Lidis, General Manager, Jaguar Australia. " We feel that the new XJ and the competitive pricepoints we have been able to achieve should ensure that we continue to attract new customers to the Jaguar brand" Lidis added.

Vehicle deliveries will commence in Quarter 2, 2010. Jaguar dealers are taking orders for the new XJ now.

The new XJ is a milestone for Jaguar. In every respect it signals the future of the marque - and yet it remains true to the essence of what has always made great Jaguars the car they are.
