From the DNA of a supersport legend comes two all-new pure sport roadsters.

The GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F have been built for real-world excitement.

Unveiled at the International Motorcycle Show (Intermot) in Cologne on September 30 the GSX-S1000 exhibits naked aggression in an all-new form and the GSX-S1000F’s low-slung, sharply shaped nose and forward-leaning side fairing panels demonstrates its character beyond the sportsbike.

Inheriting its soul and main components from the GSX-R1000, these thrilling machines put the feel of world-beating performance in your hands.

Both models are powered by 999cc, DOHC, In-line four-cylinder engines based on the multiple championship-winning long-stroke motor that was first introduced in the legendary GSX-R1000 K5 model.

Suzuki’s advanced traction control system allows the rider to control throttle with more confidence in various riding conditions. This enables the rider to enjoy sport riding with more confidence, with less stress and fatigue. The 3-mode system continuously monitors front and rear wheel speeds, throttle position sensor, crank position sensor and gear position sensor, and quickly reduce engine output when wheel spin is detected.

Engine output is controlled by managing ignition timing and air delivery to ensure smoother traction control operation.

Both models are equipped with the same top-of-the-line Brembo monobloc calipers as found on the GSX-R1000 and also feature an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to assist the rider maintaining directional control even during hard braking.

Suzuki designed a new chassis in a compact, lightweight package that makes the GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F agile and fun to ride. Every aspect of the chassis reflects a focus on great handling and control in real-world conditions from city streets to twisty mountain roads.

Styling is designed to look wild, rugged, and aggressive—whilst keeping the rider comfortable at all times. The overall shape evokes a crouching beast, with a combination of black plastics and painted parts emphasises the models assertive, sporty personality.

Top shelf Renthal aluminium Fatbar handlebars and a full LCD multi-function instrument cluster cap off the already impressive packages.

The all-new Suzuki GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F will hit Australian dealerships in late autumn, with Suzuki announcing pricing details and full specifications closer to launch.
