Polaris race drivers have nominated the Albury round of the SXS Australian Championship as Black Dog Ride charity weekend. Being held at the Albury-Wodonga MX circuit (The Causeway) on August 20-21, gate takings and other associated activities surrounding the event will raise funds and awareness of Black Dog Ride which works to raise awareness for depression and suicide prevention.

Shedding their usual vibrant sponsors colors, the drivers will adopt identical livery on their Polaris RZRs featuring the colors and logos of Black Dog Ride. Racing in itself is a celebration of life and of man's willingness to push the limits and a never ending desire to have a go.

Racing provides many opportunities to participate in the motorsports community. Apart from the racers themselves, there are mechanics, general helpers, flag marshals and officials. All provide many opportunities to get involved in a supportive and cooperative environment of like-minded individuals working within the racing community mostly in volunteer capacity.

"As a driver in the series I know all too well how important it is to be surrounded by my team", said Polaris driver and multiple rally champion Cody Crocker. "We can't do what we do as a team without supporting each other. Equally important are the many volunteers who choose to contribute their time so that we can race. It really is a great opportunity for people to get involved and keep busy. Being active and being valued is a significant benefit for those who need our help. Personally I'm chuffed to be supporting Black Dog Ride".

Come and see the cars in Dean Street between 8.30 and 11am on Saturday August 20 a part of the SPEED promotion, then head out the Causeway MX track (Diamond Park – Albury) for when the racing starts at 12 noon and again at 11am on Sunday August 21.
