Subaru sales of 3,513 vehicles in July made it one of just a handful of brands to achieve growth last month, according to official VFACTS sales released today.
Subaru sales were up 4.4% for the month, while the industry overall was down -2.8%.
July was the first month this year that Subaru was largely unaffected by a January production issue in Japan, which impacted new vehicle supply across the first half of 2019.
Subaru sales last month were spearheaded by its Sports Utility Vehicles, led by new generation All-Wheel Drive Forester, with 1,461 sales, up 147.2% against July last year.
XV sales of 867 were also up 7.7% for the month.
