The best supersport bike in the world or a simply in a class of
its own? Designed for the racetrack, to compete with the best in
the supersport class, Triumph's Daytona 675 is the bike to beat on
both road and track.
With its brilliant, narrow three-cylinder engine the Daytona 675
is a unique proposition in an otherwise conformist sea of across
the frame fours. The latest specification 675cc engine pumps out
126PS at 12,600rpm and revs to a 13,950rpm redline, while the
triple cylinder configuration delivers amazing acceleration from
low revs in any gear. And all with class leading handling and an
accompanying soundtrack that delivers an unmistakable howl from the
under- seat exhaust.
Critics readily acclaim the Daytona as the benchmark for modern
sportsbikes. Winner of the 2009 Supertest 'King of Supersports'
award for four years running, as well as MCN's Sportsbike of the
Year, the Daytona 675 delivers a killer blow with its combination
of outstanding handling and a storming three-cylinder engine, which
even moved Japanese magazine Motorcyclist to award the Triumph its
first ever perfect score in its monthly 'Ride with Edge'
feature.
As expected, the Daytona 675 comes equipped with top-of-the-line
suspension and brakes. The fully-adjustable 41mm upside down forks
and rear monoshock unit both benefit from highly sophisticated high
and low speed damping control, allowing riders to set their Daytona
up with maximum accuracy. Radial-mount Nissin monobloc front brakes
give outstanding levels of stopping power and rider feedback, while
lightweight wheels save unsprung weight and help the bike change
direction easily. The latest Pirelli SuperCorsa SP tyres are
derived from the world supersport championship give both superb
levels of grip and outstanding feedback.
But it is the outstanding attention to detail that makes the
Daytona 675 really stand out. Touches like the magnesium cam cover,
which contributes to an overall dry weight of just 162kg, and
sophisticated engine management systems come straight from the race
track to benefit sporting road riders and track day
enthusiasts.
Triumph's Daytona 675 is also homologated for participating in
FIM supersport events and to help teams prepare their machines for
competition, Triumph's Genuine Accessories division has developed a
range of race kit parts, including modified camshafts, race ECU and
wiring looms. Road riders are also well catered for with a
comprehensive range of styling and performance parts that include
the exquisite slip on exhaust developed in collaboration with the
Italian craftsmen at Arrow Special Parts, the popular range of
carbon fibre components and Triumph's innovative 'plug-and-play'

The Daytona's classically sleek looks are enhanced by simple,
single tone colours schemes of Phantom Black and Tornado Red, both
with black wheels, and new- for-2010 decals. A striking Caspian
Blue option with gold wheels is also available for the first time
on a Daytona 675. The 2010 Daytona also features updated
instrumentation, which is both easier to use and aesthetically more
pleasing.
