Sydney 28th April, 2017– ŠKODA Australia is pleased to announce details and pricing of its highly-anticipated seven-seat SUV, the all-new ŠKODA KODIAQ, prior to its arrival in Australian ŠKODA dealerships from late May, priced from $42,990 RRP.
 
The all-new KODIAQ marks a new phase in ŠKODA's Australian story. Since the brand's arrival in 2007, ŠKODA has appealed to discerning buyers, bringing the latest in technology and European design, innovative safety and convenience systems and - above all - exceptional value-for-money. The KODIAQ is built on these pillars.

Much like ŠKODA's luxury marque-rivalling Superb, the KODIAQ is far from a base specification, despite its alluring price. Instead, ŠKODA Australia has ensured its KODIAQs offer the highest possible level of specification, which includes a raft of safety and convenience features, flourishes of luxury refinement and the cutting-edge of ŠKODA's new design language.

Featuring the latest-generation turbocharged petrol engine, the KODIAQ makes 132kW and 320Nm from its 2.0 litre, four cylinder power plant, which is coupled with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and all-wheel drive. This engine, standard at the time of launch in May, offers excellent fuel economy, with just 7.6 litres per 100km. A 140kW turbocharged diesel engine joins the line-up later in the year.

The all-new KODIAQ boasts the latest in potentially life-saving safety technology, and comes standard with Front Assist with City Emergency Brake, nine airbags, Passenger Protect Assist, fatigue detection, a tyre pressure monitoring system, fog lights with cornering function, electronically activated Child Safety Lock for the rear doors from the driver position and Multi-Collision Brake.

Not only does the new large seven-seat SUV from ŠKODA feature advanced safety technology, it also includes a whole host of standard convenience and 'Simply Clever' features that ŠKODA customers have come to expect: Adaptive Cruise Control, Advanced Keyless Entry including smart start (KESSY), LED headlights with Adaptive Frontlight System (AFS), dual-zone Climatronic air condition, electric parking brake with Auto Hold function, automatic tailgate with electric opening and closing (height programmable), adjustable second row seating for easy entry of third row passengers (Easy Entry Function), mechanical sun blinds for rear windows, foldable side mirrors, integrated LED torch in the luggage compartment, a net system in the luggage compartment (three nets) and two umbrellas in the front driver and passenger doors.

Making its premiere in the all-new ŠKODA KODIAQ is the truly 'Simply Clever' door edge protection; a mechanical extending protective bumper that stops door damage in tight spaces with ingress and egress in confined spaces.

On the inside, passengers in the KODIAQ are treated to an armada of infotainment, including Columbus Satellite Navigation with an 8-inch glass touch screen, eight speakers and Bluetooth® audio and streaming, voice control, USB, DVD and CD Player, AUX and two SD card slots. Premiered in the ŠKODA Fabia, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality is also standard in the new KODIAQ, which gives users a gamut of features from their personal mobile device including messaging, music and maps.

The interior is typical ŠKODA fare; offering a touch of luxury and seamless practicality. The KODIAQ comes standard with Alcantara® leather appointed upholstery, LED interior lighting with decorative strips on the front/rear doors and a sporty three-spoke multi-functional flat bottom leather steering wheel with control for radio and phone. In short, the new KODIAQ will offer levels of equipment often found in high-end, premium marques but, as is the case with all ŠKODAs, will offer compelling value worthy of mainstream competitors.

The KODIAQ will also be offered with two unique technology and styling packs for customers who wish to enhance their KODIAQ with even more equipment:

Tech Pack
The Tech Pack features a wealth of innovative systems, including Adaptive Chassis Control with Driving Mode Selection, a virtual pedal – hands-free electric tailgate opening and closing, a premium CANTON sound system with 10 speakers and digital equalizer, Automatic Parking Assist, Manoeuvre Braking Assist, Personalisation (vehicle setup) via key, and an offroad mode – a driving assistant for difficult conditions.

Luxury Pack
The Luxury Pack features a variety of upmarket features that enhances the KODIAQ even further. Luxury Pack inclusions are: electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, Lane Assist, Side Assist blind spot detection, perforated leather appointed seat upholstery in black or beige, front ventilated seats, Surround Area View for parking, front and rear heated seats, three-zone air conditioning, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist, Rear Traffic Alert and auto-dimming side mirrors with memory function.

Special Launch Pack
As Australian ŠKODA buyers are known to be lovers of new technologies, specifying their vehicles above standard with value-added packages, ŠKODA Australia is offering the first Australian delivered KODIAQs with a special Launch Pack. This special pack includes all the above features of the Tech Pack, as well as 19-inch Anthracite 'Triglav' wheels, and a number of optional features from the Luxury Pack.

The Launch Pack will be offered to customers at an extremely attractive price, but only for a limited time. Key features of the Launch Pack include Lane Assist, Side Assist with blind spot detection, Surround Area View for parking, Traffic Jam Assist, Emergency Assist, Rear Traffic Alert and auto dimming side mirrors.

The all-new ŠKODA KODIAQ will make its debut in Australia on 31st May, 2017 with the 132TSI 4x4 model at the time of launch, with a 140TDI diesel variant arriving later in 2017. As with all new ŠKODAs sold in Australia, the KODIAQ comes with the added peace-of-mind of a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty, including roadside assistance.
