PEUGEOT Australia has further driven forward its electrification plans, proudly announcing that the PEUGEOT e-2008 is due to join the Australian line up in Q3, 2023.
Following the recent confirmation that the PEUGEOT e-Partner Van will launch in the first half of 2023, the e-2008 will follow closely as the second Battery Electric Vehicle and the first fully Electric SUV to join the broadening local range.
Kate Gillis, Managing Director PEUGEOT Australia, commented: "This year, we have set out to accelerate our local electrification journey and the exciting addition of the e-2008 will play an important role in building our electrified offering and ultimately offering more choice for Australian consumers.
"The 2008 has a powerful and distinctive style and now the addition of an Electric Vehicle variant, this will certainly strengthen the appeal of our small SUV range."
Based on the CMP (Common Modular Platform), equipped with a 50 kWh battery, a 100 kW electric motor and 260 Nm of torque, the e-2008 will launch in a highly specified single variant.
Further details regarding Australian specification and pricing will be released closer to the launch. Interested customers are encouraged to register their interest with their local PEUGEOT retailer or at: https://www.peugeot.com.au/e-2008-register-your-interest.html
