An exclusive, limited-edition 2008 model Suzuki Hayabusa
sportsbike is now available in Australia.
Just 150 of the white, limited-edition motorcycles will be
available; each accompanied by a stunning framed print to celebrate
the new and exclusive white Hayabusa.
“The Hayabusa is entrenched as an iconic motorcycle, and
this limited-edition model presents a rare opportunity to secure
something very special,” Perry Morison, General Manager,
Motorcycles, Suzuki Australia said.
“The new white livery looks sensational and really
complements the amazing Hayabusa performance
characteristics.”
Already one of Australia’s most-popular high-powered
sports models, the all-new 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa is the
pinnacle for sportsbike enthusiasts and features significant
developments to remain at the forefront of sportsbike styling,
engineering and performance.
With even more torque and power, the new Hayabusa is powered by
a 1,340cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder, 16-valve engine,
including Suzuki’s Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection
system to further improve power delivery and fuel economy.
Idle Speed Control (ISC) improves cold starts and maintains a
stable idle, while the Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR)
system and large-volume catalyser reduce emissions.
Giving riders the flexibility of three different engine maps to
suit road conditions and riding preferences, the Hayabusa is fitted
with Suzuki’s new Drive Mode Selector (S-DMS).
Providing increased banking angle, cornering clearance, enhanced
power and reduced noise, the Hayabusa is fitted with a new 4-2-1-2
exhaust system which includes dual, large-volume, tapered
mufflers.
A slick-shifting six-speed transmission combines with the
innovative Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) back-torque-limiting
clutch to deliver smooth and controlled downshifts.
With 120mm of front wheel travel, the Suzuki’s inverted
cartridge front forks are fully-adjustable with spring preload,
compression and rebound damping.
The link-type rear shock absorber is also fully adjustable with
spring preload, compression and rebound damping, providing 140mm of
rear wheel travel and contributing to the Hayabusa’s sharp,
sporty handling.
A new, race-proven brake package tames the Hayabusa’s
potent power, with 310mm dual-floating front discs and a 260mm rear
disc brake.
Including an exclusive framed Hayabusa print, the
limited-edition white 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa is now available in
Australia for an RRP of $18,790 (inc GST) plus government and
dealer delivery charges, with a two-year, unlimited-kilometre
warranty.
