Suzuki Australia has released advance details of its latest
RM125 motocross machine, due to arrive in October.
Ready to outrun its off-road rivals, the proven 124cc, Suzuki
two-stroke, liquid-cooled engine produces a wide powerband and
smooth power delivery.
The RM125’s powerplant also features an aluminium-alloy
cylinder bore plated with Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material
(SCEM) for optimum heat transfer and maximum durability.
A piston ring locating pin improves ring sealing and increases
power output, while the digital CDI matches ignition timing to
throttle inputs for improved low rpm engine response.
Offering maximum performance, the RM125 features a Suzuki
six-speed transmission with optimised gear ratios.
A single backbone, dual cradle, chrome-moly steel tubular frame
is strong yet light, giving the RM125 razor-sharp handling.
Coupled with lightweight fork protectors, the RM125 has Showa
47mm inverted dual-chamber front forks with 310mm of wheel travel
that are fully adjustable for compression damping, rebound damping
and spring preload.
The front suspension’s compression and rebound valve
settings are developed for smooth mid-stroke movement and maximum
suspension balance, delivering superb cornering and straight-line
performance.
The Showa piggyback reservoir rear shock includes adjustable
high and low speed compression, rebound damping and spring
preload.
Delivering impressive rigidity and straight-line performance,
the aluminium swingarm features a tall main beam section
design.
Equipped with a fully floating front disc with a dual hydraulic
piston front caliper, and a single piston caliper rear disc brake,
the RM125 delivers exceptional stopping power and
confidence-inspiring braking feel.
Lighter than standard bars and rubber-mounted to reduce
vibration, the RM125 features Renthal tapered aluminium handlebars
complete with a Renthal-labelled handlebar pad.
The RM125 features lightweight Renthal tapered aluminium
handlebars rubber-mounted to minimise vibrations and a
Renthal-labelled handlebar pad, plus a textured seat finish for
additional comfort and grip.
In 2008, the RM125 features aggressive, new graphics to
accompany Suzuki’s famed Champion Yellow paintwork,
completing a winning look.
The 2008-model Suzuki RM125 is expected to arrive in October
2007 with pricing to be announced closer to the arrival date.
