Visitors to the Sydney Motorcycle Show on 21-23 November will
get a sneak peak of exciting new Suzuki models before they arrive
down under in the coming months.
The all-new GSX-R1000 superbike, Boulevard M90 and Gladius will
headline Suzuki's stand, where they will be joined by the 2009
RM-Z450 motocrosser and an extensive range of Suzuki motorcycles,
scooters and ATVs.
"Suzuki is excited to give Sydney motorcycle enthusiasts a
preview of what we have arriving in Australia in the near future,"
said Perry Morison, General Manager Motorcycles, Suzuki
Australia.
"Among a total of over 50 motorcycles, we've got upcoming
arrivals like the sensational all-new Suzuki GSX-R1000, the
brand-new Boulevard M90 cruiser and Gladius, along with the 2009
RM-Z450."
Set to arrive in Australia early next year, the all-new, 2009
GSX-R1000 takes the legend of Suzuki's flagship GSX-R to another
level.
A lighter, more-powerful and more-responsive new 999cc engine is
packed with race-bred technology and boasts a class-leading
power-to-weight ratio.
With a range of other major developments including an all-new
chassis, a revolutionary new front suspension system, enhanced
brakes and sleek, wind tunnel-refined bodywork, the all-new Suzuki
GSX-R1000 is ready to own the racetrack.
The bold new Boulevard M90 will become the fifth model in
Suzuki's popular Boulevard cruiser line-up when it arrives down
under this month, with two existing Boulevard models already among
the Top 10 best sellers in the category.
Powered by a 90-cubic-inch, 1500cc, fuel-injected, V-Twin
engine, the Boulevard M90 offers riders class-leading
power-to-weight and torque-to-weight ratios and reduced fuel
consumption.
True to the form of the revolutionary Boulevard range, the
engine combines with Suzuki's latest technology and distinctive
cruiser styling in a lighter and more manoeuvrable package offering
outstanding value for money.
A unique new concept in motorcycling, the Suzuki Gladius stands
out from the pack, exuding fun and style.
With a 650cc, V-Twin powerplant derived from the popular Suzuki
SV650, the Gladius matches sporty performance with a comfortable
slim chassis.
Ahead of its arrival in Australia in the coming months, show
goers will get a sneak peak of the Gladius' distinctive look, with
a compact trellis frame, edgy lines and coloured steel tubing to
match its engine cover.
Recently launched by dual and defending World and AMA Supercross
Champion Chad Reed, the latest version of Suzuki's revolutionary,
fuel-injected RM-Z450 will also be on display in Sydney.
Currently undefeated in the new Australasian Supercross
Championship with Reed, the RM-Z450 took Suzuki to the 2008 FIM MX1
Manufacturers World Championship.
As the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS) continues to
give learner riders more choice in New South Wales, South
Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory, A.C.T. and Victoria,
Suzuki will have models from its exciting LAMS range - the largest
in Australia - on display.
Suzuki's racing pedigree will also be represented, with Team Joe
Rocket Suzuki's three-time Australian Superbike Champion Shawn
Giles and Brayden Carr, 2008 Formula Xtreme Cup Champion on a
GSX-R1000, to conduct a number of autograph sessions.
An extensive fleet of Suzuki's street bikes, cruisers, scooters,
off-road motorcycles and ATVs will complete a massive display at
Sydney Olympic Park between 21-23 November.
