Suzuki has released the much awaited, more powerful RM85 mini
motocrosser throughout Australia.
Designed at the track to be faster than ever, the RM85 now has
an increased engine capacity of 84.7cc up from 82.9cc to meet with
FIM regulations.
In addition to its displacement increase, the new model now uses
Suzuki’s own race proven SCEM coating (Suzuki Composit
Electrochemical Material) in its cylinder bore. SCEM is lighter,
more durable, allows tighter piston clearance for enhanced power,
and transfers heat more effectively than a conventional cast iron
cylinder liner.
For the first time, the latest RM85 has been fitted with
inverted, fully adjustable forks using the new Showa Progressive
Valve (SPV) system to allow for precise adjustment of the damping
force. Comprising 20 compression damping settings and three turns
of available rebound adjustment, riders can easily dial in their
optimum suspension setting.
The RM85’s new carburetor is easier to maintain and rejet,
and works in conjunction with a reshaped air intake snorkel and
airbox to help produce improved throttle response.
Footpegs are wider and longer for extra stability and the rear
brake lever arm is also thicker, further increasing rigidity to
make the bike even stronger on the racetrack.
Also available in a ‘Big Wheel’ version, the RM85L
variant is equipped with 2" larger front and rear wheels, making it
ideal for taller riders.
Suzuki’s RM85 series has been designed in the aggressive
RM style, distinctive as a true motorcross competition machine.
The RM85K2 and RM85LK2 are already in huge demand, leaving
limited stocks only in Suzuki dealerships nation wide. Suggested
Retail Price is $5390 and $5490 for the Big Wheel Version (all
prices include GST).
