Suzuki Australia are pleased to announce a New Suzuki RM-Z250 for 2016.

Taking features and performance upgrades directly from the Suzuki MX2 and MXGP World Championship factory machines, the new 2016 RM-Z250 is ready to excite.

With more-than 80 redesigned internal engine parts, a new frame and all new KYB PSF2 suspension system, the 2016 Suzuki RM-Z250 is ready to take racing to the next level.

With an emphasis on not only maintaining Suzuki's renowned sharp and nimble handling characteristics but taking them to the next level, the newly revised frame is now 2.5% lighter giving even greater cornering performance.

Further weight reductions on the new model come via the move to the new KYB PSF2 Suspension system that also gives riders total control over the suspension settings with the previous style spring fork being replaced by the latest in air fork technology.

A new KYB shock works in unison with the KYB suspension and re-designed frame to make this the lightest most nimble Suzuki RM-Z250 to-date.

While the focus of the new bike has been in the chassis and the handling, the engine has also been updated to help give the 250cc four-stroke power plant more power across the board.

A new piston, piston pin and piston ring, reduced crank inertia and increased magneto inertia, combined with redesigned camshafts and intake valves helps give a wider range of power delivery, reduced engine brake, improved starting and increased durability and reliability, while handling is improved and overall weight reduced.

For quick fuel adjustment settings to suit riding conditions, two couplers are once again included with the 2016 RM-Z250.

Helping riders to make the most of the improved power, the new RM-Z250 now features the latest Suzuki Holeshot Assist Control (S-HAC) system.

The freshly revised S-HAC system is the most advanced launch control system ever delivered on a production motocross bike.

The 2016 RM-Z250 S-HAC system is optimised through 3 separate maps per launch mode, meaning the ignition timing is optimised throughout each phase of a start taking into account, the moment of launch, the ride over the gate and the acceleration as the rear wheel makes contact with the dirt once out of the gate.

A new 10% lighter brake caliper has been introduced to help with stopping power and feel, while new Dunlop MX52 tyres are fitted to Excel aluminium wheels front and rear.

The 2016 RM-Z250 will be available in Australia during August with final pricing to be advised.
