Suzuki’s 2008-model RM250 has landed in Australia, ready
to unleash its potent combination of outstanding power and
handling.
Offering superior fire power, the RM250 is engineered for
class-leading balance with emphasis on both cornering and straight
line performance.
Suzuki’s 2008 RM250 is powered by an impressive 249cc,
two-stroke, liquid-cooled, reed-valve-intake engine with a bore and
stroke of 66.4mm x 72.0mm.
A 38mm Keihin carburetor ensures precise fuel/air mixing for
smooth, strong throttle response, while the digital CDI matches
ignition timing to throttle opening and enhances low-end power
output.
The RM250 features a five-speed transmission with a heavy-duty
multi-plate clutch.
Offering maximum strength and minimum weight, the chrome-moly
steel frame and easy-to-remove aluminium rear sub-frame improves
rigidity and performance on the racetrack.
The Showa 47mm inverted dual-chamber front forks are fully
adjustable, with compression and rebound damping valve settings for
maximum overall suspension balance.
At the rear, a Showa piggyback reservoir shock absorber provides
impressive traction and is fully adjustable for high and low speed
compression damping, rebound damping and preload with 310mm of
wheel travel.
The full-floating front disc brake is coupled with a dual-piston
caliper while the rear disc brake includes a single-piston
caliper.
Lightweight Renthal tapered aluminium handlebars are rubber
mounted to reduce vibrations, and feature a Renthal-labelled
handlebar pad.
With an aggressive new graphics kit accompanying Suzuki’s
distinctive Champion Yellow colour scheme, the 2008 RM250 is now
available for an SRP of $8,990 (inc GST).
