Audi stands for Vorsprung durch Technik, for innovative mobility. A promise that the four rings aim to reflect through a progressive design. Now the vehicles' characteristic features have been thoroughly reworked. In this interview, designer André Georgi and brand strategist Frederik Kalisch explain what it means for Audi now that its cars bear new rings. The four rings are one of the most important identifiers of the Audi brand. Why the change now, right on the vehicle itself?

With the world confined indoors, Audi is offering a way to reconnect with house-bound Australians through the freedom of the open road. Together with partner social media agency We Are Social Australia, Audi Australia has created 'The Drive', a 4-hour long slow TV film that allows viewers to experience the soothing nature of a long road trip from the confines of their own home. 'The Drive' takes viewers on an immersive road journey through breathtaking Australian landscapes in an all-new Audi A6 Sedan. The film was shot in the NSW Central Tablelands by director Luke Bouchier at Finch, using multiple cameras to replicate the experience of driving the car, which the audience can enjoy from the comfort and safety of their own home. To enhance the mood of the drive, the film was scored by composer John Hassell, from his studio in Marseille, France, where he is currently in isolation.

Audi continues to drive progress in lighting technology. Today, its xenon plus- and LED headlights already provide excellent illumination of the road and give vehicles bearing the four rings an unmistakable look. In the future, vehicle lighting from Audi will react even more precisely to environmental conditions, and it will feature full electronic control. The first step in this direction will be taken this year in the form of innovative matrix LED headlights.
