- Audi Dealer network powers through tumultuous year to deliver outstanding results across the business
Zetland, 31 March, 2021 – After a difficult 2020 year, thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, Audi Australia has acknowledged the outstanding efforts of its National Dealer Network at the 2020 Dealer of the Year Awards. Hosted by Audi Ambassador Melissa Doyle and Audi Australia Managing Director, Paul Sansom, the event was broadcasted in a livestream from the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
The 14th annual Audi Dealer of the Year Awards shifted to a virtual broadcast alternative for the second year in a row, instead of its usual black-tie spectacle. Amidst pandemic precautions, Audi Australia was still determined to recognise the outstanding achievements of dealers around the country, especially after a difficult year that ended with Audi as the fastest-growing premium brand.
"It gives me great pleasure to recognise all of our dealers, and especially the very finest among us … who continue to set the bar higher each year, even when the gameplan needs to constantly evolve according to environment around us," said Paul Sansom, Managing Director of Audi Australia.
"We had to intensify our focus on our customers more than ever before. They relied upon us to protect them, at a fundamental level, but they also challenged us to innovate, to adapt and above all else, bring the best Audi product range we've ever had to this market … and then on top of that, bring it all to life through powerful communication."
"I'm equally proud of all of our dealer partners who showed determination, expertise and commitment to our customers. Every person, within every business that represents Audi here in Australia, has such a meaningful and valuable impact on our brand," said Sansom, in an empowering speech to the network.
Audi Centre Sydney held its winning streak for the third year running as winner of the Major Metropolitan category. Audi Solitaire claimed first place in the Metropolitan category, while and Audi Alto Central Coast claimed first in the Rural category.
In addition to the overall Audi Dealer of the Year categories, the evening celebrated the Audi Foundation award, which recognises engagement with the Audi Foundation's charity partners, inspiring a real sense of philanthropy within Australian communities. Audi Centre Brisbane was the winning recipient, working alongside three Audi Foundation Charity partners over the course of 2020 including RU OK?, The Smith Family, and The Charlie Teo Foundation. The award was presented by the world-leading neurosurgeon himself, Professor Charlie Teo AM.
